Per NJ State Sanitary Code, Title 8: Health, Chapter 26 Public Recreational Bathing (NJAC 8:26), all specifications, plans, and reports prior to the location, construction or alteration of a public swimming pool, wading pool, hot tub spa, or aquatic recreational facility, and and prior to the conversion of a pond, lake, stream, river, ocean, or other body of fresh or salt water to use as a public recreational bathing facility must be submitted to the local health authority.

Per NJ State Sanitary Code, Title 8: Health Chapter 23, Animal Facility Operation, (NJAC 8:23A), requires plan review, and approval by the local health authority for any facility constructed or renovated after January 17, 1995. Construction or renovation may not be initiated until plans and specifications have been approved by the health and construction authorities of the municipality where the establishment will reside in.

JSRHC sponsored rabies clinics in New Jersey are free and open to all New Jersey residents, but more than that they are a vital way to prevent rabies. This fatal disease is endemic (present at a constant level) in the non-domestic animal population of New Jersey. Making it a very real threat to both the human and domestic animal populations. Per NJ State Sanitary Code, Title 8: Health, Chapter 6. Smoke-Free Air, N.J.A.C. 8:6 requires that a Notice of Claim of Exemption of a Tobacco Retail Establishment be provided to the health authority of jurisdiction whenever a new Tobacco Retail Establishment is proposed, and thereafter on an annual basis (by April 15 of each year). The operation of a new Tobacco Retail Establishment may not be initiated until this Application, all appropriate fee(s), all required State of New Jersey affidavits (business operator, licensed CPA, registered architect/professional engineer), and any supporting documentation and/or information have been completed and submitted to Jersey Shore Regional Health Commission, and qualification of exemption is confirmed by the health authority. Continued operation of an existing Tobacco Retail Establishment may not proceed unless all renewal documents are received by the Jersey Shore Regional Health Commission (JSRHC) by the 15th of April each year.
In addition JSRHC has adopted an ordinance involving the licensing of locations which desire to sell Electronic smoking devices.

JSRHC's ordinance Chapter 9 “Individual Subsurface Sewage Disposal Systems” which adopts by reference NJAC 7:9a “Standards for Individual Subsurface Sewage Disposal Systems” outlines various items involving the construction of Septic Systems.
