JSRHC Workforce
The Jersey Shore Regional Health Commission (JSRHC) workforce composition is a hybrid of staff directly employed by JSRHC, and professional providing their services as obtained through agreements. This is done as to ensure all public health requirements are met, in the most cost effective way.
JSRHC currently employs a Health Officer, Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS), and administrative staff.
Staff
The Health Officer serve as Chief Administrative Officer of JSRHC. They recommend local public health policies and plans. They develop, coordinate, and directs the various public health programs of JSRHC. They ensuring the State Laws and Local Ordinance pertaining public health are upheld and enforced within JSRHC’s jurisdiction.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of JSRHC is responsible for overseeing the financial management and planning of JSRHC. This includes managing budgets, financial reporting, auditing, revenue collection, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The CFO plays a critical role in guiding fiscal policy decisions and ensuring that the JSRHC financial resources are used effectively and responsibly to support the community’s needs
The Office Coordinator of JSRHC, fulfills many crucial roles essential to the efficient operation of the organization. Serving as the Commission Secretary, they manage administrative tasks, maintain records, and facilitate communication among stakeholders. They oversee the organization’s website, ensuring it remains updated with relevant information and resources. In their capacity as an Accounting Clerk, they handle financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records. Furthermore, they act as the Benefits Coordinator, managing employee benefits programs. Lastly, they serve as the OPRA Custodian, responsible for processing Open Public Records Act requests in compliance with legal requirements. Overall, the Office Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of JSRHC and ensuring its administrative functions run smoothly.
Registered Environmental Health Specialist
Registered Environmental Health Specialist staff could be considered the boots on the ground, as they fulfill a wide range of local public health roles in the office and the municipalities served. They are responsible for:
- Retail Food Establishment Sanitation Inspections
- Addressing environmental concerns through investigation
- Inspections of wells and septic systems,
- investigation of lead poisoning cases
- Inspections of public bathing facilities as found at Public Beach and Pools
- Perform immunization audits of school and daycare.
- Ensure Camps meet compliance and safety standard set by State Statute.
- Follow up on Communicable, and Vector-born disease reporting via outbreak and individual case investigation
